The diagnosis of cancer always causes feelings of fear and uncertainty. That's normal.
But early stage colon cancer is a very curable problem with surgery. Sometimes chemotherapy is added after the operation depending on what is found microscopically in the colon and adjacent lymph nodes.
A cancer support group and/or individual counseling is very helpful in helping get through the emotional ruts.
After treatment is completed, you can be proactive in further reducing relapse risk with weight and reduction exercise. You could also consider taking a daily aspirin and vitamin D supplement after discussion with your cancer specialist. Not everyone can take aspirin safely.

Have you got a consultation already? You see, any screening tests will be part of your check-up, and the doctor may ask things about your medical history together with your family medical history so that they will know the possible risk factors. I recommend to go through this amazing and full guide about colon cancer diagnosis https://myallamericanhospice.com/colon-cancer-diagnosis-work/ and have all information required.
